Board Meetings
The Bend FC Timbers Board of Directors meets on the 3rd Tuesday of every month.
We moved our meeting time to 11:30am to accommodate board and staff schedules. All board meetings will have time at the beginning of the meeting for members to speak with the board, however all requests must be made in advance and approved to allow us to get through our agenda. If you would like to present a comment to the board live (via zoom), please submit your request to [email protected] no later than the Sunday prior to each meeting for consideration. Please include your full name, contact info and the topic you would like to address.
If you would like to submit a question to the board, please contact your team manager, email [email protected] or submit directly to the board at [email protected]. Responses will be disseminated through team managers back to membership after the board meeting.
Board Update - 2023 AGM, Financial Update, Legal Update
Annual General Membership Meeting and Election
The next Annual General Membership Meeting (AGM) will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 6:00 pm in Bend. All members are invited and encouraged to join in person.
It is important to note that beginning this year, members now vote for board seats, and we will have three board seats up for election/re-election this year.
In addition to voting on board seats, the board will give an overview of the past year including a financial report by the treasurer. Our executive director, Wayne Price, will also present. More details including location and election details to follow in a few weeks.
Three board seats will be up for election or re-election:
Seat A: Open
Seat D: Currently held by Summer Brill
Seat G: Currently held by Paul Grignon
Randy Broadbent, past president, has decided not to run for reelection. Please join us in thanking Randy for his service over the past 2 ½ years. His leadership guided our club through a very turbulent time, and we would not be the club we are today, without him. Thank you Randy!
At this time, Summer Brill and Paul Grignon have indicated they plan to run for re-election. If you would like to self-nominate for any seat of the 3 seats up for election/re-election, all applications must be received by March 27, 2023. You must be a current member in good standing and you must indicate the seat you are running for. Each board seat carries a 3 year term.
If you would like to self-nominate for a seat on the Bend FC board, please fill out this application. All applications are due by March 27th.
The board will announce the nominating slate and disseminate the board applications to membership by April 12, 2023.
Board Update
The board of directors held its regular meeting on February 21, 2023. The meeting minutes for previous meetings and current financials are posted on our website.
Our club received an anonymous donation of $200,000 to pay down existing debt. Our current debt balance is now $560,000. We successfully refinanced this debt and reduced our interest rate from 8% to 4%. We are now paying quarterly payments of both interest and principal.
Legal Update
On December 29, 2022, three former staff members were convicted of Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree. The District Attorney’s press release on this matter is attached. As part of a plea agreement, former staff members paid a fine totalling $3,000. These funds were received by Bend FC and will be applied to our scholarship/financial aid fund.
The stay in the civil case against former staff has been lifted. Discovery and depositions have resumed.
The defamation case filed against the club by a former staff member is currently pending. The club is being represented by counsel paid by our insurance policy for this matter.

Election of Board of Directors
We had three seats up for re-election, our three incumbents ran unopposed and were each unanimously re-elected by the voting team managers. Over the course of the next seasonal year, any board vacancies will be filled by the board per our Bylaws. According to our current bylaws, seats A, D and G will be up for election/re-election in April 2023.
4th Amended and Restated Bylaws
The 4th Amended and Restated Bylaws were unanimously approved by the voting team managers. These are now our governing documents and are posted below for members to access.
Future Voting Procedures
Going forward, per our new bylaws, all full time members will have a vote on board matters brought to the membership at each AGM, including board seat elections, as specifically spelled out in the 4th Amended and Restated Bylaws. Our AGM will continue to be held each year between April 15th and 30th and all members are invited and encouraged to attend.
