Bend Unified Recreational Soccer League

Fall Recreational

The Bend Park and Recreation District and Bend FC Timbers are combining their efforts to offer one unified recreational youth soccer program in Bend. Both organizations have recognized that the operation of multiple recreational leagues has resulted in duplication of operations and resources, inefficient allocation of athletic fields, dilution of participants, coaches and referees and has led to confusion in the community.

By unifying our two programs, both organizations wish to collaborate in order to provide better coordinated and complementary soccer opportunities. This isn't a new program but hopefully an improved one. BPRD excels in coordinating age appropriate youth sport programs and provides the infrastructure and expertise to put together a quality program. Bend FC Timbers knows soccer, and can provide knowledgeable staff to help upgrade coach and referee training. Our hope by combining the two fall recreational soccer leagues is that we will have one strong recreational program rather than two watered down versions.

While some things may have changed, our main goal will remain the same; we hope to provide a program where kids have fun, improve their skills, become better people and want to continue playing soccer as they grow older. We are very excited and proud of this new league guided by both Bend FC Timbers and Bend Parks and Rec. I think that you will find the results to be a benefit for all of our young soccer players

Bend FC Timbers partners with the Bend Park and Recreation District to host a fall soccer league each year. This is an exciting joint venture that brings all recreational soccer in Bend 'under one roof.' The partnership allows for shared resources, fields, referees and most importantly, soccer players and coaches. The Bend FC Timbers professional coaching staff provides coaching education and resources to all volunteer coaches in the league.
