By the time a player enters the BFCT U15-19 program it is expected that soccer is their priority sport. BFCT does not limit the ability to participate in other sports or activities but if a conflict arises then it is expected that soccer takes priority. This includes all games, practices and any tournaments offered. This is only possible through communication with BFCT coaching staff and other programs the player is involved with.
The BFCT U15-19 program is set up to assist players gain exposure to be able to play after their club career concludes. However, not all BFCT U15-19 players are looking to play college soccer after they graduate. With this in mind, BFCT will offer opportunities to travel to higher level games and events. These events will be offered as College Showcase events. All players will be offered the opportunity to attend these but a priority to players looking to play after HS and upper-classmen will be given the first option. More information about this type of program is given once teams are selected.

Uniforms, personal travel costs and additional tournaments. Teams that compete in more than one tournament will be charged extra to cover event registration and coaching costs (usually between $50-$100 per player depending on dates and distance of travel).
VARIOUS PAYMENT PLANS ARE AVAILABLE (INCLUDING ONE FOR FAMILIES WITH MULTIPLE CHILDREN IN BFCT COMPETITIVE PROGRAM) AND SCHOLARSHIPS ARE GRANTED FOR FAMILIES IN NEED OF FINANCIAL AID.
A typical Winter season begins in Mid-January and concludes prior to Spring break. It will require at least two trips into the Willamette Valley or Portland Metropolitan area for Saturday/Sunday games. The league make-up will determine the actual number of trips required. It is expected that all players will be available for all scheduled games unless prior arrangements are made with the team coach or sickness or an emergency situation is realized.
Players are not required to stay in a designated team hotel during travel weekends - unless it is a College Showcase Event. The aim is to keep expenses to a minimum so if extended family or friends live in the area where games are being played who can offer accommodation, the club wholeheartedly supports this. It will be up to parents to make sure that players arrive at game fields at the times specified by coaches. BFCT will provide team managers with a list of approved hotels in the area where games are played if no private accommodation is available.
Missed the tryouts? New to the area? There are opportunities to join a BFCT team throughout the year.
